FAQ

ARCHITECTURE AND LIGHTING DIVISION

1. What is the composition of Tensoflex films?

Tensoflex plastic films are produced with vinyl polymers using special technology that gives the plastic film an improved molecular memory, allowing great elasticity and surface stability when installed.

The composition of the plastic film includes flame retardant additives, among others, and the high quality production guarantees the passage of homogeneous light on translucent films and uniform colors on maqe, lacquered and metallic fabrics.

2. How are Tensoflex films installed?

The Tensoflex System is made of tensioned films and aluminum profiles specially developed for use according to the specifications of each project. All profiles are designed for a perfect fit of the fabrics, being used on walls, ceilings, metal structures, plaster niches and other surfaces.

In addition to generating very small volumes of dust and debris, installing profiles and placing fabrics does not usually require moving furniture, objects and other equipment.

In high ceiling environments, it may be necessary to use scaffolding and plarorms, with which Tensoflex’s technical assembly teams are very familiar.

3. How is the maintenance of lighting components added to translucent films?

Tensoflex offers practical solutions to open and close the stretch ceilings to access the lighting niches, in case of maintenance of LEDs, electronic sources and other elements eventually located inside.

For small and medium sized translucent films, the main option is the Removable System, featured on Youtube at https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=removivel+tensoflex.

With the Removable System, the customer has total autonomy to remove and reinstall the stretch ceiling, easily and without the need for other accessories or special equipment.
