FAQ

Just send the following information:

– Contact details of the person in charge of the project

Name, phone number and email, so that our technical department can get back to you if there are any doubts.

– Send project technical files

Preferably in DWG or quoted PDF formats

– Inform the location of the installation.
City and state

– Confirmation whether lighting elements should be included in the estimate

If so, please confirm if lighting distribution will be homogeneous or perimeter. If homogeneous, niche depth is very importante and LED strips specifications too.

– Additional information

You can send more guidelines and project details. The more references the better.
Remember that if you don’t have any of the above information, you can always call our experts.

Stretch Ceilings are very light compared to other materials such as acrylic panels, laminated glass plates, transparent resin plates. Installation is then much more practical and faster, which can significantly reduce labor costs and project completion time. Above all, Stretch Ceilings can be installed on virtually any surface, including curved walls.

Stretch Ceilings are a lighting and interior design solution made from flexible plastic films with high molecular memory and flame retardant additives. Due to its composition it is an excellent option for diffusing light, closing off niches and decorating any kind of space.

Generally, the profiles are fixed by screwing or gluing around the perimeter and the installers finish the Stretch Ceilings once the lighting has been completed.

Durability

The film texture remains unchanged over time. Tensoflex® screens have a long service life and can be replaced after up to 10 years of use.

Quick and clean installation

Work with small volumes of dust and waste, installation of profiles and fitting of screens without the need to move furniture, objects and other equipment.

Sustainability

Tensoflex® is a system with a low environmental impact, as all its components are recyclable.

Screen with high molecular memory

One of the greatest advantages of Stretch Ceilings is the liberty of creation. Tensoflex® screens are produced with vinyl polymers using a calendering system that gives the plastic film improved molecular memory, allowing for great elasticity and surface stability when installed.

As the material is highly flexible and can be molded into various shapes, a wide variety of unique projects can be developed. They can also be printed with any high resolution image or logo, allowing greater project customization.

Practical maintenance

Cleaning is also very simple. Stretch Ceilings are antistatic, so they prevent accumulation of dust and dirt. Tensoflex® offers practical solutions for opening and closing the screens to access the lighting recesses, in case of maintenance of LEDs, electronic sources and other items that may be located inside.

Fire report

The screens used by Tensoflex® are certified by international fire reports.

Warranty

Tensoflex® screens come with a 10-year guarantee.

Technical support for your project

Tensoflex® offers all the technical support needed to adapt the lighting project, with guidance on the power, quantity and distribution of LEDs, lamps and sources to be combined with the translucent screens.

To generate a specific lighting effect, better known as the “skylight effect” or homogeneous lighting, installers place the Stretch Ceilings at the bottom of the niche, illuminated by LED strips or LED tube lights. Based on project specifications and lighting requirements, our team can confirm if quantity, power and color temperature are correct.

There is also the option of perimeter lighting, which generates a graded light, stronger at the edges of the surface and dimmed towards the center. This light is more decorative than functional.

Yes, for small and medium-sized translucent screens, the main option is the Removable System, where the customer has total control over opening and closing the screen, simply and without the need for special accessories or equipment.

No, Tensoflex screens are made from compounds specifically developed for use indoors, without sunlight. But they can still be installed outdoors as long as they don’t receive direct sunlight and aren’t exposed to rain. For example, to finish marquees, walkways and kiosks.

Tensoflex® Acoustic Stretch Ceilings combine aesthetic design and acoustic performance. The same membranes used in the traditional Tensoflex® range for interior architecture and lighting can be perforated, acquiring sound-absorbing properties determined by the diameter and spacing of the perforations. Thanks to their flexibility, these ceilings allow the creation of large continuous surfaces, geometric shapes, custom clouds, and wall panels in a wide variety of colors and finishes — all designed to improve indoor sound comfort efficiently and with sophistication.
